About Wood Tiger Massage
Carrie Jones, Certified Massage Therapist
Like many small bodywork shops, Wood Tiger Massage is Carrie Jones. I spent much of my youth working on my mother (who happened to have back problems and foot problems) and some of my college days working on the shoulders of fellow computer science students. After a rather unsatisfying career in the computer industry I attended school at Big Sky Somatic Institute (a school which has sadly closed it's doors since then, a loss to the world.) I graduated in 2004 with a certificate in Asian Healing. After gaining this basic proficiency, I went on to take the National Certification Exam and become Licensed briefly to practice in Virginia. I worked in a spa on the island of Malta for a few months and discovered the spa world was not for me. After which I sub-let some space from an osteopath on the island and worked with him for the next year. (Dr. Zammit is in Naxxar on Malta and if you are there, I HIGHLY recommend him!) After returning from Malta in 2007, I studied PUSH Therapy with Michael Takatsuno for a few months and spent time incorporating my new skills into my practice. Since then I have studied neurology techniques with Johnathan Martine and taken several Cranial Sacral Classes. (I will complete the core classes in 2015). I have renewed my National Certification in 2008, and continue to be a member of AMBP since 2004.
Currently I work out of my office in Helena, Montana. Montana has passed licensure and I am currently licensed in that state. I am transitioning to Board certification with my national certification and expect to complete that this year.
